How to explain the COVID-19 pandemic to kids

  • by

The innocence of children protects them from the harsh reality of the world. However, educating them so they could be aware of the harm is a must for every parent. “Prevention is better than cure”, it is.

Easy to say, difficult to do. Just how can a 5-year-old kid understand what a virus is, what does it look like, how harmful could it be? How can children understand the essence of lockdown and quarantine?

It is indeed a struggle to let them face the reality. But, don’t worry. There are instructional materials that could introduce the pandemic in a gentle and a child-friendly way. It can be through stories and videos they would enjoy and more so, understand.
